Double Jump: The Zero Build Game-Changer
Jackrabbit grants a double jump — a second jump while already airborne. In Zero Build, where vertical positioning is purely physics-based, this is enormous. You can reach the top of buildings without ramps, avoid fall damage by catching air, dodge shots mid-fight by jumping unexpectedly twice, and reach high-ground positions that are inaccessible to any other player on foot. The double jump also functions as an emergency dodge — an opponent tracks your first jump, you jump again and break their aim.
Cooldown Scaling: Why Leveling Matters
At Level 1, there's a noticeable cooldown between your first and second jump. By Level 5, the cooldown is minimal — nearly instant. This changes the feel from "I have an extra jump available" to "I can chain aerial movement fluidly." Max-level Jackrabbit lets you hold jump and stay airborne, change direction mid-air, and string movement that looks almost like flight to opponents trying to track you.
Build Mode Applications
In Build mode, the double jump adds to already strong vertical tools. It lets you get above an edit height mid-fight without burning a jump pad. It catches you when a build is destroyed under your feet — press jump again instead of taking fall damage. And it lets you access roof positions in box fights from angles opponents don't expect. Less dominant than in Zero Build, but still a consistent quality-of-life improvement.
Jackrabbit vs Sonic: Mobility Comparison
Both Jackrabbit and Sonic are C7S4 mobility sprites, but they solve different problems. Sonic makes horizontal ground movement faster — better for rotations and chasing. Jackrabbit solves vertical positioning — better for fights and high-ground control. If you're a Zero Build player who struggles with high-ground fights, Jackrabbit is the answer. If you're a rotation specialist who gets caught in the storm, Sonic wins.
Legendary Rarity and Summon Cost
Jackrabbit is Legendary — the second-highest rarity at 4,000 Sprite Dust. Among C7S4 sprites, only Crown and Klombo at Mythic sit above it. The Legendary tag reflects how impactful the double jump is in Zero Build lobbies. Budget accordingly: if Zero Build is your primary mode, Jackrabbit may be the highest-return Dust investment in C7S4.
